The Sam's sign was on for the 'last' time Saturday during Nuit Blanche...that is until they re-mount it and turn it back on again in the next couple years.

Maybe because I'm not from here but, some people seem to be lamenting the loss of this iconic...sign seems a little strange to me. Its neon...sign-liness marked an era of record retail that is quickly becoming extinct nowadays.

Farewell, big sign, (some of us) will miss you (until you're back on again).
