everything, and especially not every band. in a night where there was a very embarrassing set of riches (that is, things to do), I think we picked well, as the Anagram cd release at the Silver Dollar was, well, the picture really says more than anything.

there's been a lot of heated arguments about 'concept bands' and even the word concept around here lately, and I've stayed mostly quiet on the matter except to point out the obvious: that bands that are interesting and enjoyable are so not because of their schtick, or lack thereof.

we all want to see something different, hopefully entertaining and maybe provocative (everyone has their own criteria and subjectivities, but you get the idea). Anagram is one of those bands that doesn't seem to have any specific twist, but continues to defy catergorization and distinguish itself all while pulling off an amazing live show. THIS is what I want to see.
