the post-tournament Karaoke competition, of which I narrowly missed getting pushed onstage to help represent Toronto, featured a stirring winning performance of Journey's Don’t Stop Believin’, but of particular interest was our host's intense breakdown of the Beastie Boys' Get It Together. Now, most of the people in the room, even those that live in the neighbourhood are not from there, but it was still really cool to be where all of this really got going-from hip hop to kickball, this neighbourhood's been way ahead of the game for a long time, and it's a real blast. my only injury of the weekend involved climbing onto the above-pictured roof, but I think the shot was worth it, 'yo.
